Here’s a love story of one of my dearest bride’s Diana Perri on how she met her prince charming.
Diana and Ore met through a common friend. Ore always knew that beautiful Diana existed but never had the chance to meet her. Until January 2004, where they met at a friend’s small party. Sparks were flying right away and soon enough Diana and Ore started dating.
On June 4, 2009, Ore proposed to Diana at the top of St-Josephs Oratory in front of montreal’s beautiful sunset.
“We would go there often in the summer just to chill and watch the sunset” - Diana told us
Almost 7 years together, their love still continues to grow strong and on September 25 ,2010 Diana and Ore tied the knot.

As we all know, preservatives are used in our cosmetics. Some preservatives used are; Bismuth, Oxychloride, Talc, Parabens, Nano-particles and much more. They are used to prevent and control microbial growth but many have said that by using these preservatives, it can be very harmful to the body. That is why cosmetic companies have started creating non-preservative used products, also knows as All-natural mineral products.

Want to have that defined jaw line, pronounced cheekbones and thinner face?
The secret is BLUSH!
Choose two deep shade of blush and one lighter. Make sure that the colors are in the same family tone, meaning if you choose a pink blush don’t complement it with an orange shade! TIP: When choosing your shade, think of what color your cheeks are right after you’ve exercises.

Start by positioning yourself near natural light, this will help you creat a natural look.
With your blush brush, apply the darkest tone just below the cheekbones. Don’t apply it past the outer corner of the eyes.
Then, apply the medium shade above the darker shade and BLEND! BLEND! BLEND! The key with this step is to create DIMENSION! TIP: For good blending use circular motions with your bush

Now, apply the lighter blush onto the apples of your cheeks, make sure to blend in well! TIP: To find the apple of your cheeks, simply SMILE! Also brush the lighter shade across your forehead and nose for that extra glow
To enhance your jaw line, apply the medium shade just under your jaw line and under your chin and make sure to blend it well. This will create the DEFINITION you are looking for!

Attention all broken eyeshadow, bronzers and pressed powder! there is still hope for you all!!

So you recently bought a new eyeshadow and Oh my! you accidentally dropped it on the bathroom floor and now it’s in pieces! But not to worry Because there is a simple way to fix it…
All you need is;
- Rubbing alcohol
- Saran Wrap
- Cotton
Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to your compact. Then wrap your finger with Sran wrap and smooth the powder in place. Let it dry for a few hours before using it with the cover open. Once it’s completely dry place a cotton puff over your individual powder before closing the case, so when you accidentally drop or bump your powder it won’t shatter into pieces again.

If you see that the damage is too much, you can empty the broken powder into another container and use it as a loose powder or pigment if it’s an eyeshadow.
Hope you enjoyed this post!

Have you ever noticed after wearing eyeshadow for a few hours, your eyeshadow has CREASED? leaving you with a messy uneven look on your eyes!!
Hair & makeup by Sylva K & Team, photography by Brian Huynh
You’re eyeshadow is creasing because it has been broken down by moisture. This happens either from the natural oils of your skin or from warm weather. Oily eyelids are a problem for many people, no matter what their skin type is!
HERE IS THE SOLUTION,
There are a few simple steps that you can follow that can help your eyeshodow not to crease anymore.
When applying eye cream (before your makeup application) don’t apply it on your eye lids. Why? Because eye creams work to plump up fine lines and wrikles. Now imagin if you apply it on your eye lids, you can be left with puffy eyelids and let’s not mention your oily eye lid problem!!
I suggest to simply add your eye cream underneath and the the sides of your eyes.
Another thing you can do to prevent your eyeshadow from creasing is to cover your entire eye lid with your FACE POWDER. The powder will give you a dry base and because it’s no longer oily, you’ll find that your eye shadow will blend easier when applying.
If you’ve tried these steps and you’re still having creasing issues, try an eye shadow PRIMER. Eyeshadow primers work wonders when it comes to keeping your eye makeup in place for an entire day.

HOW TO APPLY A PRIMER?
Very easy! Simply put a bit on your eyelid and blend it in gently with your finger for an even application. Wait for a few seconds for it to dry before applying your eyeshadow.
DID YOU KNOW?
You can also apply primer before lipstick, and foundation!
Have a wonderful Monday,

Some interesting historical facts on MAKEUP
Did you know,
- The word COSMETIC was originally found from the latin word COSMETAE (which described the slaves during the roman times, who use to bathe influent romans in perfume)
- Higher class women in the Victorian times would wear very little makeup. Prostitutes, actresses and working class women were the ones who wore makeup on an every day basis.
- Back in the Renaissance times women wanted PORCELAIN white skin, therefore they used Arsenic powder as a foundation. That was immediately discontinued after realizing it was a very unhealthy method.
- The Egyptian times was when makeup had first made it’s appearance. Women use to apply dark colors under their eyelids and darkening their lashes. Difference was, they used CHARCOAL instead eyeliner and mascara. Other natural element were used during those times, such as flower for perfume, Hena for nail polish and beats to stain their lips and checks.

- Ancient romans hated wrinkles, freckles and sunspots, so to soften WRINKLES they would use Swans fat or donkeys milk, and for sores and freckles, they used ashes of a snail.
